Nocturne

Nocturne is the spirit of a travelling prophet who became lost in the woods without the stars to guide her. Saddened by the prophet's untimely death, the gods decided to put her spirit to work, serving as the dawn and dusk each day. She carries a lantern to light the way for the dawn and dim for the sunset. Always having a warm expression, some travelers become enchanted by this spirit, and try to follow her on her path. Their efforts come to be in vain however, for the path that Nocturne walks is one that she has to go alone. For anyone who tries to follow her, they become lost in the dark of night, returning days, months, or years later. Some do not return at all.
